Shoshana's Challah Recipy

51b flour
4 cups warm water
2 1/2 ounces of fresh yeast or 4 tablespoons of dried yeast.
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup oil
2 tablespoon salt  
3 eggs

Recipe divided in half
2-½-lb flour
2  cups warm water
1-¼  of fresh yeast
or 2 tablespoons of dried yeast.
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 tablespoon salt
1 egg and 1 egg yolk

1 ) Dissolve yeast in 1/2 of the water with 1
Tablespoon of sugar.
2) Put all ingredients in a bowl (wet & dry)
except aprox 1/3 of the flour.
3) Mix, add the rest of the flour and form into
a dough, knead until smooth, aprox 10 minutes.
4)   Let rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
Press it down. Braid into desired shapes and
let rise for another 30 minutes.
5)   Brush with egg glaze (yolk of an egg)
6)   Sprinkle with sesame seeds then bake at
350 for 40 minutes or until brown.
